Hey everyone!

It’s bloody hot here in TO. I must have put 30 block on all weekend and still proceeded to burn ever so much.

In between having tea baths, drinking many crispy cold beers, sitting in front of my fridge and hanging out at the air conditioned mall.. I’ve been making my most recent movie – the sunset chronicles.

I am visiting new areas of TO to watch the sunset. It might get harder the more the weather gets unbearable.. but I’m determined.

On my many trips to the beach I was accompanied by seagulls, my friend Aaron and my camera (that’s on it’s last legs).

This will be the first of many sunset videos for Ride Hard, Ride Long.

If you would like to bike with me sometime or have questions, feel free to e-mail me anytime!

Since it is Bike Month Joey and I decided to check out the Becel Ride for Heart at CNE (Exhibition).

There were so many bikers it was overwhelming. Everyone, young and old, partook in 25, 50 and 75 km bikes around the city. Joey’s friend Carol did 50 km in 3.5 hrs. Way to go Carol!

Afterwards we had a picnic in High Park where Aaron met up with us and we visited with strange animals at the Zoo. I’ve never smelled such a stench! Shower next time Aaron (don’t blame the Buffalo).

It was a cold day but we made the most of it.

Did you know that Emu males are “cocks” and a group of emu’s are “flocks” – hilarity ensued

Enjoy.

Joey and I decided to bike to the Beaches from my place in the West.

It was a long journey, but one that paid off both physically and mentally.

The sun wasn’t shinning but our hearts were happy when we reached our destination.

Afterwards we met up with our friend Rima who was working at St. Lawrence Market for a bike race. We played hacky sac, ate sandwiches and stayed dry.

This may be my favorite video thus far. Thanks for watching!

Look Into the Air – Explosions in the Sky

Hello fellow bikers,

My second episode of my video blog is dedicated to the people in my life that support me through difficult moments. When I feel like there is nothing to be sure of, nothing to be positive for, I can be sure of the amazing people that fill my glass to the brim with optimism and faith. Thank you.. for everything you do for me.

The journeys I took in this episode was a bike ride from Lawrence West station to my house on Dundas West, a trip to Trinity Bellwoods, and a few great moments with friends.

Next episode is a bike trip that my friend and I did from West Toronto Beaches to East Toronto Beaches.

Should be uploaded either later today or tomorrow. Enjoy.

It’s time…

May 28, 2008

I’ve decided that to kick start the summer I’m going to get up, get out and use my kick stand.

I recently flew my bike across the country to spend the summer with me here, in the city of cities, Toronto, Ontario.

As I was biking yesterday through the West End I thought to myself “How great would it be to make a video of my adventures every time I sat on my seat and put the pedal to the medal?”

I’m about to document my entire summer by bike, every turn I take, every person I meet, every cool finding I find, I’ll document, edit and upload (mostly for my enjoyment).

It’s going to be a great summer. So get up, get out, ride hard and ride long. Let’s truly make Toronto a bike friendly city, rid the skies of smog and breath fresh air.

Stay tuned!
